Goddards Stoves offer customers a complete sales, installation and after sales service.
Experienced sales consultants
Typically, customers will visit our Saffron Walden showroom to look at the ranges on offer. At this time, our consultants will talk them though the options, in terms of heat output and design styling, and make the first enquiries about the size of the room (or rooms) and frequency of use.
Home survey service
Often the stove will only be used at weekends, and will be working within an already centrally-heated home. Others will be using the stove as their primary source of heat and will be more concerned with its heat efficiency and likely fuel costs.
All of these things can be discussed with our consultants in the showroom and will lead into a home survey, if required, when room dimensions can be fully assessed and recommendations made. This home survey service is offered at no cost to the customer but does rely on information gathered during the all-important showroom meeting.
Installation
When product recommendations have been made and decisions taken, attention will turn to installation of the stove.
Goddards Stoves offer a comprehensive range of installation services, from a straight forward install using an existing chimney, through to small building work to create fireplaces, chimneys, or the installation of exterior flues.
Estimates for the installation of stoves vary from one job to another. Information relating to the installation of equipment will be gathered at the time of the home survey and an estimate of costs included in the stove proposal.
All installation work is carried out by Hetas engineers. (Hetas is the government-recognised industry body who approve equipment and train and register approved installers.)
It should be noted that an approved installation may be required as part of new home building regulations and NHBC new build warranties.
Building alterations
On occasions when building alterations are required, Goddards Stoves are happy to recommend third-party builders who are familiar with the Goddards Stoves product range and work with the company often. Goddards Stoves makes no charge for this service, with all dealings being handled directly between the customer and the contractor.
On-going servicing and support
The Goddards Stoves team recognise the importance of on-going customer support and offer a full maintenance and repair service to customers. There aren't many things to wrong with a wood or multi-fuel burning stove, once it's installed, but if things do need attention it's good to know that help is on hand when you need it.
Stove accessories, logs and briquettes
Goddards Stoves offer a selection of stove accessories in the showroom, along with bags of seasoned logs and reclaimed-wood briquettes. The briquettes have proved very popular with customers, offering a clean, easily managed alternative, or supplement to, traditional logs.
